MEET BEAU BECRAFT
Hi, I’m Beau Becraft, a writer by nature and EV enthusiast by curiosity.
I’ve loved writing since I was a kid. And while I've always admired things with wheels that go fast, my interest in them didn't come until much later in life.
I certainly wouldn't classify myself as a "gearhead," and you most likely won’t find me under the hood unless I'm changing a lightbulb or a cabin filter. I’m more of a tire-kicker, daily driver, and admirer from afar (up close if a salesman isn't gonna hassle me).
What drew me into the world of electric vehicles (specifically trucks) wasn’t necessarily the technology, the often sleek and futuristic designs, or even the clean energy aspect. It was the people. I've always been fulfilled by sharing firsthand accounts of people using their vehicles in unique (and even boring) ways for work and play.
I started Watt a Ride to share the stories of real folks who’ve made the switch to EVs. What got them excited? What made them hesitate? And how has the reality has matched up to the hype?
From those who are designing and building the vehicles of the future, to the everyday driver, I’m here to explore the world of electric vehicles and learn right alongside you.
